Text:

As stated on his Naturalization application: "That your Memorialist has for five years within the period of eight years last past resided within the United Kingdom, namely:- From 28th November, 1898 to date." (21st November 1908)

However, it is known that Josel / Joseph and Jochevet travelled to England while Jochevet was pregnant with Sol which would put the at actually 1893.

The first paragraph assumes that they have been at least 5 years in England. It does not state that they have been longer than five years which appears to have been the case.

According to Jean Rose's family tree Joseph was a hat and cap maker by profession but his main occupation was studying Talmud. He became a well known scholar in this field both nationally and internationally.
